New York City!

It has been months since my last post due to alot of traveling this year along with the creation of West Forest Films. I would like to dedicate this post to one of the city's I have visited over the years and a place I like to call my second home "New York City". I have not had the opportunity to travel the world as of yet but I am pretty sure that even those who have been around the globe would agree NYC is the greatest city in the world. Every blue moon I meet a country bumpkin that hates everything about the Big Apple but that is to be expected because the reasons they seem to hate the city are the same reason we all seem to love it so much. Now let's take a look at some of those reasons we can't get enough of NYC.

#1: The People

The diversity of NYC separates it from anywhere else you will go, the fact that you can walk down the street or ride the subway and hear dozens of different languages is always a treat. The fast paced city seems to ignore you as you go about your tourist activities which is great for people who do not like to bring attention to themselves. Native New Yorkers speak with a accent that can't be mistaken and even when they are mad and cursing at cabbies I love hearing it. I could go for days about the people but let's move on to other reasons that make this city great.

#2: The city's structure/architect

It does not matter how you arrive into NYC land or air coming in over the tall buildings in the sky, beneath the hudson river in the lincoln tunnel or over one of the beautiful bridges you will see the great work of architecture made over hundreds of years of construction. As a visitor to the city it is so hard not to walk around with your head tilted up trying to see to the top of every building but there is no other city that has the type of concrete jungle that manhattan has. Every time I visit the city my legs get a great workout as I walk the city blocks admiring the sites and before i realize it I have walked 20 blocks with no clue how I got so far from where I started.

#3: The night

The night in New York is what alot of us live for when visiting the city. The bright lights of times square, the vast amounts of people in the streets at Midnight going to clubs, broadway shows, sporting events, concerts or simply just walking around people watching is almost overwhelming. The city that never sleeps is a fitting title for midtown NYC while I can't tell you the number of times I have left a club at 4am and stumbled into a pizza shop to grab a slice that for some reason taste so much better when your drunk then weave my way back to wherever I was staying and I would be among thousands of other patrons doing the same. Its a great feeling to just let go at night and feel as if the city/world is yours. If you can do it there you can do it anyway #NYC
